You have your photo, the light is good, the angle is on point and you are really digging the composition, but there is still something missing. Wouldn’t it be amazing to be able to bring all the best elements of that picture to life?

Well, now with Adobe Lightroom you can!

So what are Lightroom Presets?

People nowadays don’t have a lot of extra time to edit. Weather you are a full-time photographer, a full-time worker or a full-time traveller, you will appreciate any tool that will save you time in the editing process.

If you are already using filters on Instagram, VSCO, or any other photo editing application, then you're already familiar with using presets. Presets are simply Lightroom's version of filters: choose a photo, choose a preset, apply it on the image, and it’ll be ready in three, two, one! Presets will make your editing process simple, easy and short.

But what makes this tool so great is the fact that you will be able to show consistency in the colors and tones of your pictures throughout your gallery. By adding a preset onto all of the photos your batch will have a continuous aesthetic that will go along the feed.

After designing various presets for different locations and light conditions we’ve finally put together a collection of our favorite ones. Our presets work on all kind of pictures, but please bear in mind that all photos are different and some presets might not work on every single image the same way.

There are a lot of factors that will affect the look of your photo: location; lighting; camera settings and more importantly camera brands. We shoot with a Panasonic GH5 and the end results will be very different to those who use Canon or Sony, and that is not even including all the different lenses that can be used as well.  In those particular cases you will have to do some slight adjustments using other Lightroom tools. Simply change the exposure and/or temperature and play with the shadows and highlights to get that perfect final look.

But now, it’s time to give them a try! We hope you enjoy the ride!
